Her personal story

Agam was born as the third and youngest child in her family, after her two sisters Peleg and Yuval.

She graduated from Mevo'ot Eeron high school, and according to her teachers excelled in everything she did: in the biology track, in the computer science track and even in her term paper in the field of social sciences.

Concurrently to her studies, Agam was a member and counselor of the HaShomer HaTzair youth movement. After graduating she chose to volunteer in a pre-army service year at the "Adanim" boarding school in Kibbutz Beit Kama, working with youth with complex difficulties or special needs. After a year of service she joined the IDF.

Her service in the security forces

Agam had the goal of being a paramedic and was therefore trained for the post by the IDF: this included practical instruction that consisted of training in hospital wards and on Jewish Red Cross intensive care ambulances. Her fellow trainees say she excelled on the course and was one of the best in class, and that she put in long hours studying and working Red Cross shifts in order to perform her duties in the best possible way.

She completed her basic military training on October 7, 2023 and then the paramedics course in March 2024 during the Iron Swords War, wishing to contribute to the war effort as much as she could.

After her training she served in the 52nd battalion in the Ikvot HaBarzel Formation.

The circumstances of her fall

First Sergeant Agam Naim fell on September 17, 2024 during a military operation in the Tel Sultan area in southern Gaza, as part of the Iron Swords War. A device that exploded during a miilitary operation took Agam's life together with three other combat soldiers: Captain Daniel Maimon Tuaf, First Sergeant Amit Bachary and First Sergeant Dotan Shimon of the Shaked Battalion.

Her character and personality

Agam's mother said that she was supposed to complete her service in Gaza and train to be an instructor, but she insisted on going back to Gaza to say goodbye to her soldiers. During the war, Agam refrained from telling her family about shocking events in order to keep them calm. Her family says that Agam was committed to her duty and there was no question in her mind about fighting.

Her friends from the Organization of Paramedics add that, "Agam was there in order to fight for the lives of her fellow soldiers, bearing the tremendous responsibility of treating and saving lives under the toughest possible conditions".

Agam's family describe a brave, hardworking young woman who was exceptionally dedicated to her duty and at the same time was a loving sister and loyal friend with a constant smile on her face. "She was someone who lived life to the fullest. She could do everything. When she was on the paramedics course, which is a very tough course, she would come home on Saturdays, studied in her free time, and was also able to visit friends and preserve them. She wouldn't lose touch with friends, but just accumulated more and more of them and was somehow able, with exceptional capability, to keep them all and see them all".
